Certified Home Health Aide
CHHA provides hands-on assistance to individuals who require help with daily activities, often due to aging, illness, or disability. Their responsibilities can include tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. In addition to physical support, PCAs often provide emotional and social companionship, ensuring the well-being and comfort of those in their care.
Responsibilities:
- Personalized Care Plan - Each individual's needs are unique. The PCA operates under a care plan specifically developed by a Registered Nurse, ensuring that the elderly get the specialized attention they require.
- Hygiene & Bathing Safety Assistance - Maintaining personal hygiene is paramount. The PCA aids in safe bathing, ensuring cleanliness while minimizing any risks of falls or injuries.
- Dressing Assistance - They help seniors dress appropriately, ensuring they are comfortable and feel their best every day.
- Toileting Assistance & Incontinence Care - PCAs provide sensitive assistance in toileting, maintaining the dignity of the elderly. They also manage any incontinence issues with discretion and care.
- Mobility Assistance - From aiding with ambulation to providing bed-bound assistance, PCAs ensure seniors move safely within their living spaces.
